Parkour is for the audience

What would happen if the dancers would all of a sudden dance themselves out of the theatre and run away down the street? Should we jump out of our seats and run after them, climb over the obstacles, search the city, hunting those moving bodies down a back ally, into a private flat, throughout an abandon office building, unto a main square? Should we dance with (behind, aside, in front of) them rather than demand to see them - dance? And if this is the case, are we ready for the challenge? Are we fit enough? Do we know the moves? Can we find our way around even if we do not have a map (of the city or the body) at hand? Those are the question i would like to explore together with a small "privileged" group of spectators, some of those that are adventurous and curious enough to follow me from one location to another, working together with me on grasping the work of the others…as a shared act of joy. Parkour. (Igor Dobričić)
