Cristina Planas Leitão & Jasmina Križaj: The very boring piece (working title), Plesna izba Maribor

How can you linger in the limbo between comfortable and uncomfortable; between all or nothing; between boring and interesting?
Is interesting diverse, virtuous, smart, profound,... exceptional?
Is boring slow? Repetitive? Empty? Shallow? Maybe superficial? Mediocre?...
Is average »in between«? Is there even an in between of average and exceptional? Is »almost« in between?
The Very Boring Piece could be a space for the “almost” to happen. It's an attempt for making slow, repetitive, empty, shallow, superficial, mediocre… exceptional.

Cristina and Jasmina both graduated in 2006 from Dutch academies for arts (Dance Performance from Artez – Arnhem Dansacademie and De Theaterschool - School for New Dance Development, Amsterdam).
In 2010 they were both invited to be part of the project 50 Days in Costa Rica with David Zambrano, where they acquired the necessary qualifications to teach, use, and renew the techniques of Flying Low and Passing Through.
Since then they work together. Out of that collaboration appeared The Very Delicious Piece (as part of the Modul Dance project), which at the moment is in the process of touring.
